The book is a really solid hardcover journal (hard card almost as thick as a cinema standee), blank area on front and back, but has "A" and "B" for each side, holes punched out for the wheels and tape window. The first page is an illustration of the inside of a cassette to make the holes in the cover suit the style and look accurate.Just after that from "Side A" is a page of 5 labels to replace the "Mixed Messages" one on the spine with. A good idea for a journal, but being a kid of the 80s/90s, had to trim the ends off so it fit in the usual blank spot on a cassette on Side A!After the stickers, you get one lined page with nothing else, then a continuous pattern of 2 blank (lined) pages with [A] on the top left, [B] on the top right, with three underscore marks at the top (for date in 2 number format? Like 311218?)That pattern continues until a copyright page and the rear "inside the cassette" art page for the cover. There's also a black ribbon bookmark built into the journal, make to look like cassette tape, but cassette tapes never poked through the side unless you unscrewed, opened, somehow jammed it there, and rescrewed the case on it. X)PROS:- Big book, hard to lose.- Style points for clever look and feel.- Plenty of pages before you need another one.- Bookmark ribbon handy AND fits the style.- UPC barcode sticker comes off EASILY.- Pages coloured along the edges to match the grey cassette shell. Cool touch!(Although I never saw grey cassettes, just black ones, but tiny issue.)- Punched cover and first page art adds to the cartoony look of an actual cassette.(minor) CONS:- Bookmark looks odd as a bit of tape stuck through the side, something nobody ever had with cassettes, and it's tricky to only poke a bookmark through the side.- No stickers for the front and back blank areas. (Had to trim a spine sticker for the front.)- Stickers for the spine. (Good for a journal, but never a thing on actual cassettes.)- "Mixed Messages" sticker MOSTLY came off okay, left a little ripped sticker, but eventually came off.
